About the job

This role reports to the Chief of Staff or COO.

The task is to be employee number 1 in a new Department at OncoBeta: Medical Physics. You are a problem solver, creative and an analytical key contributor. As we scale, we intend to professionalize and deepen our knowledge, centralizing the role of dosimetry, to have a department fully capable of addressing the topic at a world class level.

This role takes 100% responsibility for Dosimetry and Radiation Protection for existing and future products and supply lines (radioisotopes).

Responsibilities

  • Own build out of a new department in OncoBeta: Medical Physics
  • Improves and expands existing dosimetry tools and their deployment in a clinical setting
  • Owns medical physics in R+D activities and new product development
  • Becomes a radiation protection expert
  • Liaises closely with treating practitioners world wide on topics of Dosimetry and Medical Physics
  • Medical Physics rep. in OncoBeta Medical Committee
  • Own Medical physics in OncoBeta Medical Studies Initiatives (studies, registries, etc.)
  • Supports development of new supply sources (radioisotopes) by assessing the impact over dosimetry
  • Owns a deep understanding of radionuclides and their medical Mech. of Action
  • Trains and advises medical physics technicians (at customer) on dosimetry, equipment, and protocols
  • Works closely with Radiochemistry, Engineering teams

Requirements and skills

  • Preferably, experience as a Medical Physicist in a clinical setting
  • Personable lifelong learner with an open mindset and world class managerial skills
  • Education level: Masters or PhD in Physics
  • Fluent in English, fluent German a plus but not required
