For non-melanoma skin cancer there is no single universal therapy. Here you will learn about different therapies for skin cancer which will help you decide, together with your doctor, the best therapy option for you

Surgical Therapies

Therapies whereby an instrument is in direct contact with the skin causing direct damage (wound). These therapies include all variants of surgery as well as those specific for skin surgery.

Physical Therapies

These methods do not involve direct contact with the tumor tissue. These therapies are usually derived of various types of radiation, including radiotherapy, brachytherapy and photodynamic therapy.

Pharmacological Therapies

Pharmacological therapies can be topical creams or gels that are directly applied over the tumour, or systemic medication which is absorbed into the body and can affect the entire organism.

  • Location of Lesion
  • Expansion area
  • Infiltration depth and/or thickness
  • Possible metastasis
  • General health and age
